Education Grants for Technical Careers

"That’s a win-win for our community and our businesses."

The Bethel and Junction City School districts will receive grants for career technician education courses. As a strong supporter of Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, we think this is a great investment in our local middle and high schools.

In an article from the Register Guard, Alisha Roemeling reported, “Examples of CTE classes — ¬once known as vocational courses — include construction technology, engineering, business management, early childhood development, computer sciences, robotics, engineering, culinary arts and more.”

These kinds of courses help students pursue careers in that are in high demand and pay a living wage right out of high school. That’s a win-win for our community and our businesses.
